You can use bleach and water to keep them looking as good as new. Our recommendation is to give the cushions a light rinse with water first, then spritz on some 100% Clorox bleach. For best results, let the bleach work its magic in the sunshine for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with a hose.

Although aluminum furniture tends to heat up more than teak and rope/wicker products, we mitigate this by adding elements of teak to reduce exposure.

However, it's important to note that not covering your furniture at all is also okay. Our furniture is designed to withstand the elements and is crafted from high-quality materials that will last a lifetime.

That said, we still suggest covering your furniture during the winter months or on particularly stormy summer days. This will help protect it from the elements and keep it looking great for years to come.

When it comes to maintaining your A-Grade Teak furniture, there are a few options available. If you choose to do nothing, the teak will develop a weathered grey patina over time due to exposure to UV rays and the elements. To revert back to the original golden honey color, you can pressure wash the furniture or use 220-sandpaper. Alternatively, you can use a teak cleaner like Golden Care Teak Cleaner to remove any debris or marks.

If you prefer to maintain the golden honey color, you can apply a sealer of your choice such as water-based, oil-based, or Golden Care Teak Protector, using a household sponge or towel. This will prevent the weathered patina caused by UV rays and keep the furniture looking as it is now. Additionally, you can apply Golden Care Teak Shield after the protector has dried to prevent water marks and assist in cleaning.

As for spots on A-Grade Teak, it is normal for the wood to release oils to the surface in warmer, humid weather and contract in cooler, dryer weather. However, sometimes the oils can trap moisture from humidity, rain, dew or other weather debris, leading to the appearance of black or green mold spots on the wood. This is normal and does not affect the durability of your A-Grade Teak.

Finally, it is common for A-Grade Teak to breathe and expand in warmer weather and contract in cooler weather, resulting in small openings or "checking." These openings will not affect the durability of your A-Grade Teak and will eventually close on their own as the wood acclimates to the surrounding climate conditions.
